
Director of Sponsorship & Community Partnerships
The Director of Sponsorship & Community Partnerships is responsible for developing strategic relationships with businesses, nonprofit organizations, schools, civic groups, community leaders, vendors, donors, and corporate sponsors to support the growth of the Old Skool Basketball Circuit. This position creates mutually beneficial partnerships that generate revenue, resources, services, visibility, and community impact while ensuring that every partner receives professional communication and the benefits promised by OSBC.
Corporate Sponsorship Development
Identify organizations whose goals align with OSBC, youth sports, families, education, health, and community development.

• Research and build relationships with local businesses, regional companies, national brands, sports retailers, financial institutions, healthcare providers, restaurants, hotels, education partners, and community organizations.
• Create a qualified sponsorship prospect list and maintain an organized outreach pipeline.
• Develop customized partnership proposals based on sponsor goals, target audience, budget, and desired visibility.
• Represent OSBC professionally in meetings, presentations, networking events, and community discussions.
Sponsorship Sales & Packaging
Create clear, valuable partnership opportunities for each OSBC event and for the season as a whole.

• Develop title sponsorships, presenting sponsorships, court sponsorships, championship sponsorships, website advertising, digital campaigns, livestream sponsorships, vendor packages, and in-kind partnerships.
• Build sponsorship packages with clearly stated benefits, timelines, pricing, deliverables, and renewal opportunities.
• Coordinate proposal development, follow-up, negotiation, and agreement routing with OSBC leadership.
• Identify opportunities for multi-event, annual, State Championship, and National Championship partnerships.

Community Partnerships
Build relationships that increase OSBC's credibility, reach, and community benefit.

• Develop partnerships with schools, parks and recreation departments, youth organizations, chambers of commerce, community foundations, nonprofit organizations, faith-based groups, civic organizations, and local leaders.
• Identify opportunities for community outreach, scholarship support, equipment donations, educational programming, and volunteer participation.
• Create partnerships that connect OSBC tournaments with broader youth-development and community-impact goals.
• Coordinate public-facing community initiatives that are realistic, measurable, and aligned with OSBC resources.

Sponsor & Partner Relations
Protect relationships through reliable communication and professional fulfillment.

​• Maintain organized records of sponsor contacts, agreements, assets, deadlines, benefits, invoices, and renewal dates.
• Provide sponsors with event schedules, brand specifications, activation instructions, and post-event reporting.
• Coordinate with Media & Marketing to ensure logos, mentions, digital placements, signage, and sponsor recognition are delivered correctly.
• Conduct post-event follow-up, gather sponsor feedback, and begin renewal discussions early.

Event Activation
Turn sponsorship agreements into visible and engaging event experiences.

​• Coordinate vendor booths, promotional displays, sampling, giveaways, product demonstrations, contests, halftime activities, championship presentations, and community engagement areas.
• Ensure activations comply with venue rules, tournament schedules, safety requirements, and OSBC standards.
• Confirm sponsors receive promised placement and access before, during, and after each event.
• Document activations with photos, attendance estimates, digital metrics, and sponsor recap reports.

Fundraising & Resource Development
Support programs that expand access and improve the tournament experience.

​• Assist with annual fundraising campaigns, scholarship initiatives, equipment drives, donor outreach, and special events.
• Identify in-kind contributions that reduce operating costs or add value for players, teams, volunteers, and families.
• Develop responsible processes for acknowledging donors and tracking restricted contributions.
• Work with leadership to define the purpose, eligibility, and reporting requirements for scholarship or assistance programs.

Strategic Growth
Build partnerships that support OSBC's long-term direction.

​• Develop sponsor and community relationships that can grow with OSBC from local tournaments to State and National Championships.
• Identify strategic partners in travel, hospitality, media, healthcare, apparel, technology, education, and youth development.
• Recommend new partnership categories and revenue opportunities based on event growth and audience needs.
• Support cross-functional initiatives with Tournament Operations, Media & Marketing, and College Relations & Player Exposure.

Annual Goals
• Increase sponsorship revenue and the value of in-kind contributions.
• Expand the number and diversity of active corporate and community partners.
• Improve sponsor retention and multi-event commitments.
• Develop professional sponsorship materials and fulfillment processes.
• Increase vendor participation and community engagement at events.
• Build partnerships that support State and National Championship growth

Success Metrics
• Total sponsorship revenue and in-kind value secured.
• Number of qualified prospects, active sponsors, and renewed partners.
• Sponsor retention and upgrade rate.
• Fulfillment accuracy and partner satisfaction.
• Number and quality of community partnerships and event activations.
• Vendor participation, fundraising support, and scholarship resources generated.
• Timeliness of proposals, agreements, invoices, asset collection, and recap reports.​
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in sponsorship sales, business development, fundraising, marketing, community relations, or nonprofit development.
• Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to create clear proposals and explain sponsor value.
• Excellent organization and record-keeping abilities.
• Established DFW business or community relationships are preferred.
• Passion for youth sports, education, community impact, and long-term partnership building.​
